AVA Professional Support Services In The News
(EXTON, PA) January 24, 2012 – Lisa Butler, educational technology expert and Spanish consultant for the E-Content Butler and AVA Professional Support Services, has been nominated for a PA Tech Award. Butler has created the first online Spanish Techbook for beginning Spanish students and has chosen to share this resource for free, as a public service to Spanish teachers and students across Pennsylvania and around the world.
Pennsylvania teachers may know her from the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference (PETE&C) where she and her students have presented multiple times. Her global following is a direct result of her educational technology blogging, her presenting at the International Society of Technology Educators (ISTE) 2011 conference, her participation in online educational technology groups, and her willingness to share ed tech tips and tools with her online followers.
“I’m very proud of Lisa and her accomplishments. Until March 28, she is in the running for the People’s Choice Award. We hope everyone we know, people our friends and followers know, and virtual contacts through the Internet will click the gold Vote button at http://www.techquestawards.com/leaderboard and vote for Lisa,” said Debbie Lynn Butler, the E-Content Butler and owner of AVA Professional Support Services. “Not only is this a great opportunity to share this valuable resource with teachers and school districts who can’t afford new textbooks at this time but it is also an interesting experiment with the power of social media.”
